Jenny Barber is the Federal Programs and Preschool Program Supervisor for the Russellville School District.
1) Administers and coordinates federal and state special needs funded programs:
Elementary and Secondary Education Act as Revised:
Title One Part A School Wide Reform Programs; Title Two, Part A, Teacher Quality; Title III English Language Learners, Title IV, Part A Student Support and Academic Enrichment, Title V (RLIS/REAP). Russellville had enrollment K-12 of 5,212 students for Cycle Two 2020.
Arkansas Funded Special Needs Categorical Funds for professional development, English language learners, alternative learning environments, and students at risk for low achievement and are impacted by poverty. These programs provide supplemental services during the school day and in extended day/year.
Coordinate funding with the supervisor of the Human Service and Homeless Students and Migrant Students Programs.
Jenny can answer questions about Federal Funding including ESSER/ARP ESSER and AR Categorical Funding
2) Administers the Russellville School District Preschool Program with 12 classrooms: Full Time Coordinator, 12 licensed teachers & 22 trained paraprofessionals.
Jenny was one of the first in Arkansas to participate in the Arkansas Better Chance and Arkansas Better Chance for School Success Programs.
She can answer questions about Quality Early Education Environments including Early Childhood Special Education Programs.
Jenny has experience in setting up new programs as well expanding exisiting programs using a variety of funding sources.
