As Director of Federal Programs for the Searcy Public School System, Christine Harrell has spent the past 15 years leading initiatives focused on educational equity, program effectiveness, and student success. Known for her collaborative leadership and commitment to meeting the evolving needs of students, staff, and the community, she brings both experience and authenticity to her work.
Christine was recognized as the 2024 Federal Programs Coordinator of the Year for Arkansas by the National Association of Federal Education Program Administrators (NAFEPA) and was named the 2026 Arkansas Federal Programs Coordinator of the Year by the Arkansas Association of Federal Coordinators (AAFC). She also partnered with the Searcy School District and the City of Searcy on the Family Resource Center initiative, which earned the 2024 Arkansas Business Trendsetter City Award in the category of Education/Workforce Development.
She currently serves as Past Past President of the Arkansas Association of Federal Coordinators Board, supporting coordinators across the state through collaboration and shared learning. Her background in curriculum development and previous experience as Searcy’s math and science facilitator continue to influence her leadership of Professional Learning Communities.
Outside of her professional life, Christine is a devoted wife and proud mother. Her family, including her son, who thrives in a supportive learning environment for students with disabilities, continually reinforces her belief in the power of inclusive education and strong community partnerships.
Christine values meaningful connections with fellow educators and is always eager to learn, collaborate, and contribute to the shared mission of serving students well.
