About me
Michael Hensley currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Practice in Educational Leadership at the University of Arkansas. Previously, he worked in the Van Buren School District as assistant principal then principal of the Freshman Academy. He taught English and coached basketball, baseball, and tennis at all levels from 7th-12th grades at Berryville, Farmington, and Alma before moving into school leadership. His professional interests focus on leadership development, organizational leadership theory and practice, student motivation and agency, and educational effectiveness in under-resourced communities.
